Project Info
In 2002, Gulf Consult, working in association with Michael Gebhart Architect, AIA, who provided the architectural concept and schematic design input, won the first prize in a design competition for a new office complex to support the recently restored, historic KOC Headquarters building.
Gulf Consult were subsequently awarded the full design and construction supervision of this project.
The purpose of the project was to:
-
Create a new complex of offices, comprising six buildings, each of which would cater for a different Directorate or Department.
-
Design these new offices to house approximately 2,200 employees.
Set this new complex in harmony with the newly renovated KOC Headquarters and with the village character of Ahmadi Town.
