The Civil Inspectors will inspect the standard of civil operations at site for proper quality control of structural materials and workmanship. They will report to the Senior Structural Engineer, Structural Engineers, and Site Engineers for routine daily inspection and supervision of the Contractor’s site operations and activities. They will keep comprehensive record notes and reports, and assist in monitoring the Contractor’s progress and overall performance. They will also liaise with the Materials Engineer in collating samples of all materials that require testing for the works.
The Architectural Inspectors will inspect/supervise all standard architectural and finishes works in progress at site. Their main objectives are to ensure proper quality control of materials and workmanship, conformance to contract’s drawings and specifications, and appropriate construction methods and approved materials are used. They are also responsible for inspecting and testing architecture finishes such as walls, drywalls, flooring, ceiling and doors. They must strictly monitor that all architectural works and finishes comply with the approved shop drawings and material schedules.
The Plumbing/Fire Fighting Inspectors will report to the Senior Plumbing/Fire Fighting Engineer and Plumbing/Fire Fighting Engineers. They will assist the engineers in all aspects of quality control and installations pertaining to plumbing, irrigation, and fire-fighting systems in the project and in accordance with the specifications and approved shop drawings.
The HVAC Inspectors will report to the Senior HVAC Engineer and Site HVAC Engineer to assist them in all aspects of quality control and installations inspection. They must ensure compliance with the approved shop drawings and specifications. They must witness testing and commissioning of the HVAC installations in order to ensure that the systems are achieving their desired performance as specified.
He/She must observe the Contractor’s proposed methods to ensure safety to the workforce, the public and other third parties. Monitor site safety arrangement, ensuring that all safety arrangement are in compliance with the HSE guidelines.
He/She will inspect the installation of all electrical systems and report the site electrical engineer. This will include panels, wiring to electrical and mechanical equipment. Maintain written reports of the work performed and monitor the daily progress report.
The routine daily inspection and supervision of the contractor’s site operations and activities regarding electrical works, including the keeping of comprehensive record notes and reports.
