GC participation in 9th International Workshop on Civil Health Monitoring in Kuwait

Gulf Consult’s Structural Engineers Mohammad Ahsun, Yousuf Saifuddin & Hisham Ezzi were invited to participate in the 9th International Workshop on Civil Health Monitoring in Kuwait, held at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre.

The event was organized by the Kuwait Society of Engineers and The Society for Civil Structural Health Monitoring (SCSHM), in addition to Kuwait University, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait Municipal Council, and ASCE-Kuwait Group. The workshop aimed to explore recent advances and future trends in smart sensors, signal acquisition and processing, and real-time data management for intelligent infrastructural health monitoring.

Our engineers had the honour of being part of a panel discussion focusing on seismic design parameters for Kuwait’s infrastructure. This crucial discussion explored key strategies and considerations aimed at ensuring the structural resilience of projects in Kuwait. The session witnessed active participation from organizations such as the Kuwait Society of Engineers, KISR, and Kuwait Municipality, underscoring their collective commitments in advancing efforts to develop seismic design codes for Kuwait.

The resounding success of the session highlights the dedication and expertise of our team at Gulf Consult.
