Gulf Consult Wins Best Hospital Design 2025 for NBK Children’s Hospital in Kuwait

We are pleased to announce that Gulf Consult’s design for the new National Bank of Kuwait Children’s Hospital has won Best Hospital Design 2025 at the International Architecture Awards. Spanning 8,000sqm in the Sabah Medical Area, the project facilitates advanced pediatric healthcare in Kuwait, blending playful design, sustainability, and innovation to create a healing environment for children and families.

The hospital merges function and form to provide patients and staff with a state-of-the-art facility that reflects the spirit of childhood. The design incorporates a unique colorful façade that bends with programmatic elements and responds to the sun, shading interiors and making sustainability a living expression of care.

Inside, light and green views flow through every level maintaining a healing connection to nature, while soothing inpatient rooms balance the needs of patients and their caregivers. An outdoor central play courtyard and indoor family spaces provide ample space for young patients to explore and play during their stay.
