Gulf Consult in association with Montgomery Watson Harza (MWH), were appointed by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) Sanitary Engineering Sector to undertake the Study, Design and Preparation of the Tender Documents for the Kuwait Sewage Improvement Phase XIII for the Jleeb Al Shuyoukh Area.

The Phase XIII Project was divided into two contracts:

  • Rehabilitation and improvement of sewage and infrastructure for the Jleeb Al Shuyoukh area
  • Study and design of the new transfer facilities to the Kabad Sewage Treatment Works for flows arising from areas of South Khaitan, Dhajeej, Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Shaddadiya, Abdullah Al Mubarak, Kuwait International Airport and Sabah Al Salem University Campus

The infrastructure designs were prepared to meet the present and planned development within and impacting on the project area for a design horizon of not less than 35 years or up to year 2045.
