Gulf Consult in joint venture with NBBJ (USA) have been commissioned by the Kuwait University Construction Program to undertake the Design and Construction Supervision of the College of Science, the largest of the new colleges forming part of the Sabah Al-Salem University City Campus.

As with all colleges within the new campus, it comprises two separate colleges, one for women and one for men, which will be built over basement parking.
The College of Science has been designed for a total of 6,350 students and 1,330 Academic and support staff. It will house seven major Academic Departments including:
- Biological Sciences
- Chemistry
- Earth and Environmental Sciences
- Language Unit
- Mathematics and Computer Sciences
- Physics
- Statistics and Operations Research
The college has been designed to LEED silver standards and includes initiatives such as photo voltaic panels and root mounted solar thermal systems for domestic hot water generation.
